Hey, I’m Hazel.

I write books. I read books. I practice law. And sometimes, I even get to sleep.

My Story

I grew up in East Tennessee, in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains but currently live in Alaska with my family. I have over a decade of experience working with victims of violent crimes as an attorney, and I Was Never Broken is my first published novel.

When I’m not writing or working, I’m crocheting or watching sports with my family. I am a third generation Tennessee Vol and a rabid Detroit Lions fan.

  • When a work is ready for alpha or beta readers, I'll make an announcement on this website and social media. Then you simply fill out the form.

  • Always! I have one book coming out in December and another that I’m currently writing.

  • I Was Never Broken was supposed to be released in March 2026 by Conquest Publishing. Unfortunately, the owner of Conquest passed away shortly before that, and the preplanned release could not be stopped. Once the rights reverted back to me, I released it again on my own.
